Farming On Solid Ground

I waited patiently for the LORD to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the LORD. Psalm 40:1-3

Welcome to our farm.

Your are now looking through a little window which just happens to be pointed toward our farm Solid Ground. We are a Christian homesteading family, which to us, means we grow most of our food, we have a good reason for doing it, we enjoy what we do, we enjoy sharing what we have learned from what we do and hope to support ourselves through some of the products and services we produce on the farm. Somewhere here on this site you should be eventually able to find answers to our reasoning.

Feel free to look around, and here, it is polite to point.

The website is still kinda under construction, but our farm has been operating since 2008. Keep checking back for updates, but as you can guess, farm chores take priority.

Broome County Farm Trail

We are part of the farm trail, opening our farm to you...learn about raising chickens for eggs or meat! Meet our Jersey cows Affagatta, Swiss Miss, RibEye and 2 newborn calves! We still have our pigs, and layers.. Of course the coffeehouse will be open all day as well! This year's event will include a local bluegrass group 'Morning Star' performing throughout the day in the coffeehouse!SolidGroundCoffeeHouse.org
